“Is there any ground clearance on the bottom or does it lay flat on the floor? I have a wire I will need to put under it that connects to rear speakers on side of couch.”

This stand sit flat on the floor but it has holes in the back of the stand so you can run your cable wires and speakers. I also have speakers with cable and I had no problem with putting the cords in the holes at the back of the stand.
