If you already have your dish connected to your coaxial connection you cannot connect this to your tv at the same time, unless your tv has a second coaxial connection. You would have to disconnect your dish and then connect this antenna when you want to use it. Maybe they make a product to split the connection but that may reduce your picture quality. Hope this helps.

You plug it into the HDMI port behind your tv or whatever you have
