• Yes it should because I own this product and on the box it says it works with Dell laptops

• different size adapters come with it.....I have an Gateway and hubby has a Hp laptop.....both power up fine with this item

• I'm not sure. i needed a cord for my HP Pavilion g7 laptop and was told by a Geek Agent in the store that there was only a DIFFERENT universal set that was right for HPs (unless...it was this one...I have since returned it so I'm not sure). The reason I'm unclear was that the one he sold me for my Pavilion cost $88 inc tax. At the time he said, "This is the only cord that will fit HPs." So if they are claiming this fits ANY HP computers, the short answer to your question is probably... YES!
