- Answer Probably not, usually when a micro sd card or any type of solid state drive is corrupted it's a lost cause. You MIGHT be able to reformat the card and continue using it but any data on the card is/ will be lost.

QuestionIs this compatible with the newest update for Mac's, Mojave 10.14.5?? Also, are there any limits on the size CF disks? (for example, will it work on a 128 GB CF disk?) Thanks!

- Answer The software is on your COMPUTER not this device. So if your computer and it's software (in your case Mojave) support the device you'll be fine. Feel free to call an Apple Genius but I think you should be OK as I'm running this on a Mac.

- Answer If the card in the M50 is compatible with the cards this reader can accept, it should read the card, unless the card is corrupted somehow.

- Answer It should, but only at USB 2 speeds. Unrelated, you can (and probably should) upgrade to MacOS 10.6.x (pick highest "x") for free, now.

- Answer The approach I take is: 1. Insert the card you want to access into the adapter. 2. Plug the USB end of the adapter into an open port on your device. 3. The device should auto install the same as if you were using a USB drive or similar device. 4. Once installed, you can access the memory card as a drive on your device. I have used it with a Windows 10 desktop and Windows 7 Enterprise laptop. Hope that helps.

- Answer No. You need a DOD compatible smart card reader / CAC reader to read DOD ID card certificates. You can store encrypted data on an SD card as long as you have a means to decrypt the data on a computer once you download it, otherwise it remains encrypted.

QuestionCan this reader be used with a dash cam and capture all that it records and be able to see it on your computer? If this one is not capable of doing this which one do you have that can?

- Answer If the SIM card for your dash cam fits the reader, it should work as a reader for your computer. It won't attach to your dashcam as external storage.

- Answer Noelle, I got "plug and play" performance with a 2012 13" MacBook Pro and with a 2018 15" MacBook Pro using Mac OS 10.12.6 and MacOS 10.14.4. Please, share your computer's OS version and hardware version (from "About This Mac" in the Apple menu). That may help someone help you.

- Answer It is just a card reader. To do what you are asking. Which I'm sure you should be able to. You must be able to hook the card reader and your DVD drive to the same computer. From that point on, it's in your software as to whether it will transfer it from one media to another.
