• Ip address is set automaticlly by router or device manually depends if static ip is set or automatic.

• The IP address will be whatever your DHCP server of the network is that you jack into. In other words, it does not have a pre-assigned IP address. It gets an IP address from the ethernet network.

• I meant to say what would the default ip address be. And that would be , whatever the dhcp server assigned the MAC address of the PC. What I really needed to know and really didn’t ask is, can I assign a static up address and although it looked like I could, I couldn’t make it work it the short time it tried yesterday. Not to say it will not, but will have to try again to confirm one way or another.
