A: I installed this on a windows 7 machine. I expected the drivers to just be loaded. Then realized that I was not connected to the internet and the operating system did not have the driver. After using the included CD it started working. Conclusion, Drivers are necessary. The box with the CD says drivers for a PC (windows) or a MAC are included.

A: There are two lights, one for link, the other for data. The light blinks to show that data packets are moving. The one lit all the time is telling you that you have a valid physical link to the network

A: yes it does at least with linux, on my laptop i am running window 10, but also have it partition and Ubuntu and Mint (Sarah). runs on everyone.
