“Can I use this to hard wire my smart tv to the internet? My daughter is having trouble with her university's wireless access on her smart TV. Her friend was able to wire an Ethernet cable to her TV and it works much better. My daughter's smart TV doesn't have an Ethernet port, but it does have a usb port. We were hoping this adapter would allow her to get hardwired network access for improved performance.”

Yes, as long as the port you are seeing on the TV is actually a usb port ,and not the system diagnostics port, it should wrk just fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check your TV manual to see if the USB port supports network adapters and/or USB sticks. Some TVs only support USB sticks and will not recognize a LAN cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No this will not work on a smart tv. The usb port associated with the TV doesnt have the ability to recognize this as a networking device. The usb port is configured for viewing media which is a completely different protocol. I hope this helps.
