“It appears from other answers that this DOES NOT work on TV's as they cannot load drivers... My daughter has an Insignia TV and my research shows a driverless Ethernet to USB is what is needed. Can someone from Insignia help here AND suggest details?”

Is the Insignia TV a newer model smart TV? That may be what's required to download drivers. I read in one review that the USB port on the Insignia TV was inoperable on the model current with the review (Oct. 2011). Just a guess on my part.
