“Does this come with 1 USB connection cable only? or is it 2 seperate USB connections that need to be made into the pc? will this work with my surface 1 ? i just want something i can connect through USB”

The keyboard and mouse each have a separate USB connection that has to be made to the computer/device you are using it with. The keyboard does not contain a USB input to attach the mouse to that, so you will need two open USB ports to use the keyboard and mouse at the same time.
