“Anyone else experience that the mic is too quiet even turned all the way up? So I have the mic turned up all the way in sound settings as well as on the mic itself and it still seems really quiet unless i'm pretty much right up to it. Anyone else experience this with theirs?”

No, try another port, rear or front on your computer if you have that option, sounds like a defective unit or a weak sound card. Have you tried another mic in that port?
