• No they plug in the side of your lap-top only but they are power speakers & kind of weak.

• Yes. They just require the standard USB output. The audio source is from a standard audio jack.

• Insignia USB-Powered Portable Speakers are intended to be powered by a USB port, not a charging device. They will be damaged if connected to ANY USB charging device, including Apple.
