QuestionValid Configurations?OK having both a USB and a mini-plug confused me for a minute. Are both of these configurations correct? * Laptop with a CD player, USB port and a mini-jack - only the USB connection is required, both power and audio are fed through USB, can play CDs in the CD tray or any audio file on the hard drive. (or do you also have to connect the mini-plug?) * Laptop with no CD player, and separate audio source (like a portable DVD player that also plays CDs) - use the USB connection to the laptop for power and the mini-plug connected to the headphone jack of the DVD player for audio. Thanks...

- Answer If I understood your Q correctly: The USB delivers the POWER needed to drive the speakers. The audio comes from the audio plug on your PC or laptop. At least that's how it worked out for me...I was also stumped for a while trying to figure the configuration out - but very happy at the end :-)

- Answer No, these speakers do not have their own volume controls. The volume will need to be controlled by the source device.

- Answer Should not be a problem as the magnets are very weak...they barely hold the two speakers together.

- Answer You can not plug a headphone jack into these speakers ... there is no audio output .. to use headphones you will have to unplug these speakers form your computer.
