A:Answer Anything with a standard 1/8" stereo headphone jack will supply the audio signal, which an iPod will do; however, to power the speakers you would need to plus the USB cord either into a powered USB port or into the wall (via an A/C to USB adaptor). Luckily those adaptors are cheap and easy to find.
