If I understood your Q correctly: The USB delivers the POWER needed to drive the speakers. The audio comes from the audio plug on your PC or laptop. At least that's how it worked out for me...I was also stumped for a while trying to figure the configuration out - but very happy at the end :-)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The USB is for power only. You must have mini-plug also connected for sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you need the usb regardless to power the speakers the plug you put into the ipod will not power them, and all cords are connected and not removeable
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The USB connection is for power only ... you will have to connect the usb port for power thru either the computer, a monitor (if you have a usb on your monitor), or charging block. The mini jack has to be connected to the audio output of computer for the sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The mini plug is for receiving the sound. The USB plug is for power to the speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The USB is power source , the 1/8th is for signal . I only use these when I travel using downloaded music on windows media player .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's "USB Powered" so you merely do not have to plug these into an electrical outlet. Green plug still must be plugged into audio jack for audio source.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to have both the USB and and the headphone jack. They are used together.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The source of music is supplied to the speakers using the mini plug into the headphone jack. The USB as I understand it makes it a powered speaker - a computer can supply the power or you can plug it into a wall outlet using an adapter. Any charger adapter should work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.ok
