Hi TuSuave, When you plug a USB 3.0 Ethernet adapter into a USB 2.0 port, it will still work at reduced speed, as long as your operating system has a driver for it. It will still negotiate a gigabit link speed with your Ethernet switch, and you'll get whatever speeds your system can manage. It will be faster than 100 megabits. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found my speed was considerably less in the 2.0 from the 3.0 port
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will only work as fast as the port it is plugged into. So 2.0 port will be 2.0 speed even if the device itself is capable of faster speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No speeds are reduced
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately not. The USB port will bottleneck the Ethernet adapter. Goodbye Ethernet is 1000Mbps. USB2 is only 480Mbps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't answer that but can tell you it works well for us, and doesn't seem to slow us down.
