First a wet section of the "cloth tape" goes along the same path the magnetic tape takes. The liquid on the tape loosens and dissolves the built up residue. Then a dry part of the "cloth tape" follows it picking up the loosened residue and drying the tape path. Wait a few minutes to let it "air dry" and remove any remaining liquid before inserting a video cassette. After all you've just applied a solvent for what the video tape is made of to the tape path. Just imagine what damage getting it on your video tape could cause.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s a tape with a cloth like strip instead of a tape, that when wet wipes off the video heads of dust particles and dirt usually last like 3 to 5 seconds
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A good "head cleaner" (whether it's a wet or dry type) actually cleans the entire tape path the heads, the rollers and the guides. It cleans the microscopic residue you can't actually see with the naked eye. As a side note do not keep a tape in the vcr when your not using it and do not leave the machine turned on when your not using it. (Except for timer recording.) This will put the mechanism in the proper position so there isn't constant pressure on the rollers. Which can create flat spots. You can imagine the kinds of problems having a flat spot on a roller that is moving what is essentially a tape belt can cause.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used to buy the liquid at a high end audiophile store and use long stick cotton swabs to manually clean the heads but I can't find it anymore. The tape cleaner includes a bottle of drops one squeezes into a hole in the tape cassette and the moist cleaner tape removes dirt and any debris from the heads when you press play for 20 seconds and rewind. It can be used multiple times as the bottle holds quite a few oz. of liquid. It worked!.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The liquid is a cleaner. usually alcohol based. the tape is a mild polishing surface. It gets the build up on the heads so the picture is clearer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you put droos of liquid onto tape holes, and stick the VHS cleaner tape into the machine, turn on play for so much seconds, and eject
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.they clean the vcr heads with liquid and friction... AFAIK
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The cleaner wipes off the heads so that the recorder gets a clean signal from the tape.
