“does this have all the same capabilities of a google home”

• Another item this speaker can't do is make calls like the regular Google home. I have purchased both.

• Not entirely. See pictures below. You see different choices when selecting a true Google Home (Kitchen) vs. this Insignia speaker (Master Bedroom) in both the device select screen when clicking the 3 dots, and then within the device settings themselves. I am most disappointed in the lack of night mode since I use this in a bedroom :-|

• Almost all of the Google functions are there. I've noticed that some of the newest feature updates are not there yet. Hopefully they'll be updated soon.

• Not really. You can't make phone calls with the Insignia device and you're also missing the "night mode" function that reduces the volume of responses and brightness of LEDs during specified times. All other capabilities are the same.

• This device has most all of the google assistant features but it currently lacks the ability to make phone calls. it will respond "Sorry, I can't make calls yet"

• Both this product and the Google home are powered by Google Voice Assistant, so yes
