“I have the Google Home in my bedroom and now This Insignia in the living room. If this allows multiple room streaming would that work with my Google home since its with Google Assist.”

It shows up in the Google Home app just like any other Google home device. I just bought 3 of these to go along with my Google Home and am able to stream to all of them at once by adding them to my Google Home Group which I named 'All Speakers'. This group includes a few audio chromecast as well. I just say, 'Hey Google, play dance music on all speakers'. Works great.
