“So I read the manual and it said there would be an orange LED light to indicate battery percentage (full/low battery/charging) , however the only light on the back of the device is the small mic light. Where exactly is the battery LED light located?”

One manual for all their products. Unplug your device - does it stay on? If not, then you don't have a battery and therefor no indicator light
