Yes, press the circle button and + or - to dim or brighten the display.

Yes. There are three touch sensitive buttons (not physical push buttons). Hold down center circle button and press either the plus or minus buttons to change display brightness.

Yes- and it can be made really dim- makes it an excellent alarm clock. A constant bug bear for me is led displays like lasers at night- this won't keep you awake.

Yes, press the circle indicator with one finger and then while holding that finger in position hold down the minus indicator and the display will quickly dim all the way down to its lowest setting. Follow the same process but instead hold the circle and plus symbols at the same time to increase the brightness.
