QuestionAny news on when routines will be activated?

- Answer Routines do not work at the present. Everyone seems to think it's a firmware issue, however by chance I experienced something that proved to me it's not firmware, but that Insignia and Google may not be shaking hands with each other. Now which one may not be extending their hand is the mystery.

QuestionWhat is the frequency of your firmware updates? And will it ever be more frequently? I find it a problem that google is pushing all these new things for there assistant and not being able to do them. If I had realized that,I may not have gotten this.

QuestionIs there a way to keep a countdown timer on the display after setting one? I replaced a Google home mini with this in my kitchen, with hopes to use the display to set cooking timers and see the countdown, rather than have to ask it each time.

- Answer Short answer, no Long answer, you can view the count down timer on your phone in the home app Go to devices, find your speaker and open settings, then tap alarms and timers

QuestionI have a question about the "Wave to snooze" functionality. It seems to work fine with the "tone alarm" but not function with the radio alarm or music alarm. Am I missing something, or is this a bug? Thanks!

- Answer Same here. Had to set up multiple alarms 10 min apart and stop each one by hitting the center button. I thought they wouldve updated this by now.

- Answer that means its updating the firmware. it took a while on mine but not an hour. make sure you don't interrupt the process. the Home app on my phone would tell me how much longer the download would take

- Answer I sent an email to Insignia on 3/28 about when they thought routines would be available on the device and this was their response: Thank you very much for contacting us, this is John with Insignia Products at your service. Upon reviewing further information with my engineers for your inquiry, as the routines feature was just announced, the release date has not been disclosed by Google. However, please note that you will receive a notification through the app that will let you know this option is ready to be used.

QuestionI've been trying to use this as my alarm clock but the three buttons on the top randomly flicker on (about something like every 20 seconds or so) during the night and it's highly annoying. Anyone else run into this? Can it be fixed?

- Answer Check whether you have proximity mode turned on.... P.s. to turn it on/off you need to activate and hold all three buttons for a few seconds....+,o,-....

QuestionI set up my speaker about a week ago. When I say ok, google, all my speaker says is that something must have went wrong or there was a glitch, try again later. I unplugged it, moved it, thinking it was an internet issue, but nothing. Any assistance

- Answer It probably is an internet issue. Make sure you have a unique network name for your wifi. I had the same problem. Come to find out (after buying a new modem and router) that someone moved in nearby & was using the same router without changing the name...I didn't think to do that either. My devices were getting confused between the 2 networks with the same name but different passwords.

QuestionIs the clock display physically capable of displaying 24-hour time format instead of am/pm, if the software (Google's?) ever supports that capability? I'm ready to put black tape over the time display rather than have "PM 7:09" colon-blinking at me.

- Answer I'm answering my own question. This device comes with firmware 105, which does not display temperature even you ask google assistant. You need to upgrade the firmware to the latest system firmware version:306 cast firmware version: 1.28.101871 Took me a while to figure this out, I've reset my device million times and it finally upgraded to the latest firmware. Press and hold the mic button for about 12 seconds until you see solid orange light. During the setup, if it shows "LOAD", that means it's updating the firmware, do not continue on your google home app until that's done.

QuestionIs there a way to set an alarm using music - specifically spotify? I think the Google home speakers can. But I just bought this, and it doesn't seem to be able to use music, which is why I bought it.
