Can I actually make soup in this blender? null

Yes. but I prefer stove top for more control with emersion blender if needed. If you want to make soup, you sure can. plus, keeps it hot for up to 2 hours.

Just don't overload the 48-ounce container. I wouldn't blend more than three or four cups of soup or juice or salad dressing at a time (to allow for splatter).
