Yes, very easy to open both tops. One (air fryer) lifts straight up and the pressure cooker one is a small twist after the pressure is released.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you can open the old model without the air fryer, you can open this one with the air fryer lid--it works the same way. You place it on the pot and "twist/turn" the lid to lock it in place. Because its so big, I don't see it being an issue--its not like a bottle cap or anything small and tight. Once the pot has no pressure remaining in the pot, it will turn with little or no effort.
