“The cover to protect the knife seems too tight. Afraid to slide knife in and don’t want to force and break the tip off. Has anyone had an issue with this? Other knives I have with covers slide in very easily.”

Did you take the clear cover off the tip of the knife? That could make the cover tight other than that mine is snug but no worry of breaking
