“i have a burning question. I realize this is a K series (overclock) however i have zero interest in overclocking. I'm wondering if straight out of the box this processor is running at stock. I dont want it to overheat or have a bad power consumption.”

Hi Peter, the Intel - Core i9-10900K out of the box is a 125 watt processor which runs at 3.7 Ghz with a max turbo boost of 5.3Ghz without overclocking. If you are worried about thermals you can always download the free Intel Extreme Tuning utility which has built-in temperature monitoring systems and will alert you when critical levels are reached, and when safeguards are activated.
