To the best of my knowledge, the Z490 Intel Chipset will only accept the 10th Generation CPUs. You will have to kick it up a notch to the Z590, which allows both 10th and 11th Gen processors. This is the last model to use the LGA 1200 socket. The Z690 begins the LGA 1700 socket for the 12th & 13th Generation. I say this because I recently assembled a Z690-12700k for my son, and a Z590-11700k for myself. Secondly, the 500 series is the last group to allow Intel Optane Xpoint memory. The 600 Series only allows the hybrid style H10 drives that are a single combined unit. Hope this helped. Billy
