“Quickbooks told me that this product payroll subscription only covers payroll for 1 employee. If you have more that one, this subscription is null and you have to pay the regular Enhanced Payroll price, which is quite costly. Anyone experienced this?”

no, I have 7 employees and the subscription is free with the purchase of quickbooks enhanced payroll 2017 for the first year then you have to pay yearly renewal of approx. $390 but it cost approx. $12.81 per mth for the payroll usuage also
