Yes. After you install the product via the CD, Turbotax will provide you with further updates for 2016, i.e., sometimes when I start Turbotax, it will say, wait while software updates are made. Also if I choose to print out forms at this point (Jan 2017), the forms will be overlaid with a gray "Do Not File". Turbotax and other tax preparers are awaiting any final changes from Congress or state gov't.

Yes, this product is for 2016. I would advise to start working on it and submit later because the government is still updating which Turbo Tax makes updates.
