I'm a sound quality snob, so I consider the bass to be decent. Doesn't have that pounding bass so deep that it'll bounce things off a table, but adequate for outdoor sound. I've had mine for 4 years, but I won't buy another one because I had the battery go in one, went to get a replacement battery from the ION website & this model doesn't have replaceable batteries. Super bummed because the one that went bad, I only had for under two years & they're only used when our pool's open, so it's not like they're not used 24/7.
