Hi Kath, The iTap 2 will work with your iPhone 13 Mini, since it comes with large and small magnets. Depending on your use case, you don't need a specific case, since you'll manually apply the magnets depending on your use case (Wireless charging or no wireless charging). But, we would not recommend the silicone type cases (stick and sturdiness). The case might be too flexible for the magnets to properly do their job. Since your phone is MagSafe, I would recommend the iTap 3, an upgraded version of the iTap 2, as the name implies. You will not need any case for this (Only if you want/need one) in which case, no pun intended, you would need a MagSafe compatible case. Please note that not all cases have the same magnets. So, your miles may vary depending on the strength of the magnetism. Hope this helps!
