A:AnswerA replacement battery, taken to a phone repair shop (not Geek Squad at Best Buy) had been put in my iPhone and in a couple of months, the battery swelled, discolored the screen and, it was pointed out while I by Geek Squad, it was also bending the case, not to mention phone was crashing. When I took it to Geek Squad (which was what I should have done in the first place) and I was told that the battery could very likely explode. Don’t fiddle around. Take it in and you may need to get a new phone which is what I ended up doing.
A:AnswerYes because the battery is replace through the front of the phone. In order to replace the battery the glass screen has to be remove, but that is on the Iphone 7 plus I took it in last year for my moms iphone 7plus and the screen was already crack and the geek squad replace the screen. The iphone 7 pluse works great.

A:AnswerApple and Best Buy are 2 different brands. Apple gift cards can be used at apple locations and iTunes Store or the App Store. Best Buy would need to use their own Best Buy Gift card, or cash /credit card as they are the ones that have paid for the battery (with apple) and labor to repair the phone. The two brands are not the same company.
A:AnswerYes but you have to get an appointment first and that was pre-Covid. It took about an hour so I walked around the mall. Not sure if that is possible post-Covid. But you could wait in your car as these days BBuy isn't allowing folks to really hang out in the store.
