• The GC MultiGas XE has 3 filters- the HyperHEPA Pre-filter, and the GC MultiGas Cartridges & Sleeves (they come as a bundle, the sleeves go over the cartridges.) Replacement times vary by usage and the conditions in the area of usage. The HyperHEPA Pre-filter generally lasts 6 months to 1 year and the GC MultiGas Cartridges & Sleeves last 15 months to 2.5 years, based on usage of 24/7 and 12 hours/day respectively. Usage time affects filter life—the more you use the purifier, the sooner you'll need replacements. If your air quality is poor (e.g., high pollution, smoke, or allergens), the filters may need replacing sooner.
