Will it put marks on my baseboards? null

It will not. Roomba has a soft touch bumper and will slow as it approaches any object. It's very gentle - you can find many, many videos of Roomba gentling bumping into and navigating around babies and small pets if that helps!

Yes! It constantly leaves a big black line on all my baseboards about an inch above the floor. Marks need to be scrubbed off with Magic eraser and it is hard work especially when you are in your seventies. I robot sends some bumper strips out when I complain that don't stay on and they suggest you use a better adhesive so they stick... This is not a good solution for a big problem. I robot can and should do better than this.
