“Does it work on dark carpets? My previous roomba would stop working on my carpet due to some areas of it being black. I wonder if they finally allowed for the sensor to be switched off. Thanks.”

• I would look at the selling attributes for the most recent of the series. The 600 series will definitely stop on dark areas, assuming it is a drop-off like stairs.

• The cliff detect sensors on the 675 may be triggered by solid black surfaces. However, Roomba models such as the i7 and s9 series are able to navigate darker floor surfaces.
