• You can carry it from floor to floor easily but the charging unit needs to be on the same floor to self dock

• Hi there- You can absolutely move Roomba from level-to-level in your home and your robot will navigate and clean. If it runs low on battery while cleaning the floor that does NOT have its Home Base, you simply need to bring it to the dock to recharge
