In most cases, ANY of these units would leave a scuff "mark" on wooden furniture, especially furniture sealed with only light or a thin coating of varnish or poly. I know this as I worked for a customized furniture company. The real question is, will it dent your furniture. Most legs are hardwood and should not substantially dent from the pressure of this unit hitting. Yet, to avoid giving "maintenance" to those legs, I would suggest NOT using these units.
