My Roomba 690 and I believe none of the roomba with the same model will allow us to control the direction from the cell. There are different model that they Can do that. However, my roomba normally cleans our rooms out very well, not with a perfect condition and directions but roomba tries to adequate its way to clean better.

I stand over "him" to gently nudge him in certain directions in three rooms but the rest of the time he goes where he wants. There may be a top of the line Roomba that is directionally programmed but my mid-grade one isn't.
