A:AnswerIt can be used without Wifi, but I think it is better to have it. But you can just press the power button and it will run without wifi. My kids press the button all the time. But it is helpful to have the app if it gets stuck next to something and you need to track it down. It got stuck under one of our beds and I could not get it out and couldn't find it. The track noise really helps.
