WE have not had any concerns with the front wheel scratching our wood floors. The front roller ball may have been bound with string or hair that inhibited its performance. I still can't imagine it would have scratched a floor as the wheel itself is rubber and non abrasive. The wheel is easily pulled out of its assembly making string/hair removal quick. It took me a while with needle-nosed pliers before I realized the wheel came apart from the stem. A much easier cleaning process after that. The three-pronged brush may also become bound with string or hair. Simply unscrew and pull up/off to maintenance. Enjoy your Roomba.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There’s nothing on the bottom of the Roomba 960 that would cause damage to any flooring. All Roombas are tested and approved for use on both carpeted and hard surfaces.
