• Yes you can change it’s course and even use a sensor where you don’t want roomba to go. I used one near my xmas tree. Also our cats food water dishes

• Yes, you are able to restrict the Roomba i8's movement using built in Keep Out Zones which are drawn on the Smart Map created in the iRobot Home App. Please note: this query was made under the Roomba 960 which does not feature Keep Out Zones.
