Since I don't have stairs to contend with, I have not tested the cleaner for that. However, one of its features is censors to prevent it from going over the edge of such things as stairs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. It has sensors that prevent falling down stairs. I have a lot of curves and stairs in my house, & it’s never fallen down. When you look at the maps in the app, you can see where the robot detected the stairs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's supposed to detect cliffs, but sometimes it gets stuck. I'd say it's more likely to get stuck than fall down the stairs. You might want to use the wall just to be safe.
