Not positive but I think it would result in very long cleaning times. I have noticed since the first use each time for several times it "learned" the house and the cleaning times were shorter and shorter until it had it worked out. I think going back and forth would leave it constantly "learning". If your home is perhaps not too big this might work out okay but with any size it might get frustrating.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I've seen extra docks available for purchase. Keep in mind, and you may already know this, but you can carry it upstairs and set it to run without a dock. It will still end and return in the spot you started it from. I do it all the time. Charging doesn't take too long, you can just carry it back downstairs to your dock. Just a suggestion :)
