It handles furniture with ease. The only thing you really have to worry about are loose items on the floor such as kids toys. I love this robot. It has made my families life easier. Absolutely worth the money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works well around our couches but does have a problem with our chairs with leg risers. They have just the right height clearance from the ground that the roomba can start to get under then cant get out. It does well around the kitchen table, but can’t get under because the opening between the chair legs isn’t wide enough. Otherwise it does great.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will work in rooms with lots of furniture. That said there are two things to note. One, the Roomba learns the terrain and creates a map over time. So it may take a few times before it “knowns” where to go. Two, it is more efficient if furniture can be moved out of the way. My Roomba does a much better job in the kitchen when I take the kitchen stools out from the kitchen table, same with the dinning room chairs when it is in the DR. As for furniture like couches, it depends. We have a couch that is high enough that the Roomba goes under it. But we have another that the Roomba cannot fit under so it goes around, but so would a traditional vacuum.
