The yellow strip keeps the main battery from being connected to the vacuum until purchased; pull the strip out and then charge the mail battery in the vacuum cleaner. the four AA batteries go to the blockers that you can turn on and block the vacuum cleaner from entering a room or section of room you don't want it to go in.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The yellow strip keeps the battery from operating while the vacuum is being shipped. This is required by law I believe. You have to remove it before operation.
