I do not think it is important what kind of ceiling you have. I've used it in different rooms and even a small area outdoors but enclosed and worked ok.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will work. Mine even works in the dark
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this doesn't navigate by ceilings. This particular item learns the layout of your space over time. Bounding a few times off your walls until it learns that room. When it learns the room it will go right up to the wall and turn around because it will already know it's there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've just bought one my understanding is it has sorta like a electronic eye, it can see in front and to the sides... Not sure how to explain it!! To answer your question no it doesn't need the Ceiling to work.. Hope this helps!!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a church with a ceiling more than 40 feet high, and never have a problem. I am not an expert, but I don't think you will have problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not a clue. Boy, that is a good question!!!! I think I would go directly to the I-Robot people for this one.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works great in my home and I have coffeeed ceilings in 4 rooms. I don't think this unit uses the ceiling it uses it's on board GPS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have a tray ceiling in one room and cathedral ceilings in another on our main floor - no issues with the vacuum doing what it should in either of these rooms. I'm not sure that it uses the ceiling to navigate but if it does appears that it can work with different types of ceilings.
