This cleans in straight and random lines just depends on what cleaning algorithm it is working off of at that moment. If you are sever clinical OCD then maybe stay away, me on the other hand just seeing the vacuum's clean lines on my carpet is enough for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the 980 does do straight lines. And when it completes the vast back and forth it goes around the perimeter of the rooms to get all the corners and crevices. My wife is SUPER OCD and she is happy with the 980's work.
