“Does this mop and vacuum at the same time? Video is a little deceiving in showing both but then one part says you have to switch bins. We had the original J7 and had nothing but issues with it connecting to the app and so on. Does this work better?”

it does have an interchangeable bin that does vacuum and mop at the same time. there are two bins that come with the device one is for vacuum only and the other is vacuum and mop.

You have to empty the dust bin manually when you use it this way though, it will not self empty. Self emptying only works with the vacuum bin installed. I have had this robot not show up just once in the week that I have had it so far, but I haven't had it that long to provide more data on that. Hope that helps.

The only reason you have to switch it out is that it doesn’t empty it’s bin because the mopping pad blocks where the connection to the home base dust bag. It offers the same features as the J7+ you just have to set no mop zones where it won’t vacuum on carpets. And it doesn’t lift its mop pad.
