This product does self empty it’s bin into a cloth bag located in the base station (you will have to buy bags, mine came with three and still on first bag after 3 weeks). There really isn’t any dirty water since it sprays and drags mop. I do clean the mop insert when it’s done mopping and reuse it for a number of mopping jobs before using a new insert. There are five items you will have to buy. Mop inserts, bags for cleaning bin, rollers that are used for vacuuming, rotating brushes and air filters. None of these items are very expensive and are actually much cheaper than the bags and filters I need for my miele vacuum cleaners. Roomba monitors itself and tells you when things need to be replaced via the app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The docking station has bins in it with a self-propelled suction mechanism upon docking. It is misleading. Self-Emptying refers to the Roomba device evacuating debris from the itself into the canister bins which are the same as the docking station. Eventually, you will need to empty out the canisters. You just don't need to maintain it every single time with every single use like Roombas without the self-propelled canisters.
