I have 2 levels in my home. You just move the Roomba and it’s docking station to an outlet (use the same one each time) in the new level and it will learn the new layout of each level and develop separate maps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Robot uses docking station as home base when he maps out your house. I just bring him up to 2nd floor and turn him lose. Battery lasts over an hour on hardwood floors, so I just bring him back downstairs to empty his bin & recharge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have two floors one is wood and other is carpet. The one that does the wood floors only needs to be emptied once a week or so, so I didn't get a dock for that one. I have carpet upstairs with a docking station. Sadly, it does not climb stairs so you would either need additional docking stations or simply empty it manually. Or you could move your docking station...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can not travel up and down stairs. My guess would be that you would need a a separate unit on other floors but I would talk to the store or manufacturer to verify if another option exists.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would have to re-learn each floor every time you switched it. We just clean our upstairs the old fashion way. We have thought about getting another one for upstairs but, with out the self emptying base.
