• Hello Jmac, Your Roomba i7+ will prevent itself from falling down the stairs, but you will have to move the robot to the other level in your home. You will need to return your Roomba to the level with the base so it can recharge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is always possible it will if it makes a pivot right next to the stairs in the opposite corner of the stair sensor on the bottom of the device and take a tumble. There are multiple ways to avoid this : 1. Eventually it will learn when to stop from the virtual map of your house it creates. 2. Use the Virtual Wall Barrier device next to the stairs until it finishes mapping your house. 3. After it is done mapping, you can also designate keep out zones on the virtual map that it will avoid for extra peace of mind. You will need to baby it until it finishes mapping your house, but after that it should be easy sailing. I hope this helps.

You can configure a map for the first level and program it to clean those rooms only. Then have another map for the other level and when moved to that level, kick off a clean of those rooms.
